Not a Windows thing, but after seeing GNOME 3, I thought it would be kind of nice to have a second dock showing all my spaces, especially since Spaces is becoming purely linear.

I think my problem for this screen isn't that I can't see such a screen size being used on the iphone, I just can't see it happening now.
I think my main reasoning behind this comes as a developer - a new screen would likely require a different resolution ratio (a change from the 320x480/640x960 we work with now) and to be truthful given the fragmentation issues Apple's always so keen to point out in the Android market...well lets say unless the new resolution also coincides somehow with iPad changes down the way I can't imagine it happening.

Logic Pro 7 has yet to be cracked, so Apple has people who know how to do copyright protection. I suspect Leopard will employ very strong TPM integration compared to Tiger.

Not really. There are from time to time fixes that are noticed in Darwin and ported back to FreeBSD by others, but Apple have a history of not getting involved with the projects from where they take code. The stuff about the kernel is especially weird, that's still the area where Apple and FreeBSD differ the most.

I figured when they hired Mr. BSD, Jordan Hubbard, back in 2001 they be more active in pushing stuff back out to BSD.

Well, it sounds like the cops haven't given up on cracking the case at least. Just hang in there. If there's been so many break-ins in the area, it's time they lay down the law.

Yes I'm well aware of China Mobile's vast GSM Edge network. But this is a 3g phone. So that 558 Million actually doesn't count given that it would be like giving the phone to T-Mobile knowing that they can't support 3g. And Apple doesn't pull moves like that since it would open them up for lawsuits (if someone unlocks on their own, that's on them).
The real numbers to look at are 152 Million valid GSM 3g subscribers against 178 Million CDMA customers. And no contract prohibiting having a phone for both. So again, if this is about making money, why didn't they make a CDMA phone for that second group. Assuming they are open to having a CDMA iphone at all.
I don't think China has much interest in the iPhone.

im seeing i tv but could see it before macworld same with video ipod. new ilife and iworks etc hopefully a anouncment that all major studious will sign with apple for itunes movie store and deffintyl the key top secrets features for 10.5
my dream feature will be that bootcamp has been change to where u can nativly run mac/windows in the same screen with out reboot "hey i can dream" lol hopefully 3ghz macbook pros and a mid range tower and maybe new hd monitors thats biger than 30 inch for itv like 40 50 and 60" :cool: and blu ray will be made on all new macs

I think the new specs and price cuts are good. I'm so tempted in buying one 23" with a new Mac Pro..
But somehow I think that Apple will come up with a new Mac Pro (new case enclosure) with new lineup of Apple Cinema Display in Spring 2007. Does anyone agree with me?..

I don't think any major cosmetic design on the enclosure is happening anytime soon as well as the displays. The current designs are just beautiful. Plus the extra space now for hard drives and optical drive just make me think Apple will keep the same look for awhile.

so true. I wonder if the new iPod's will have a longer battery life, god I'd hope so with Movies and their lengths.. if not, there goes the whole legal electronic Movie business, haha, or at least for Apple.. until they then provide longer battery life. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

So gizmodo is responsible for this how? Questioning what makes an online a journalist a journalist and not just a fan site has been going on for some time (aka: before gizmodo turned off a bunch of TVs). You're just scapegoating an easy target. If you have a problem with the conferences and expos limiting press to only a few big names go after that. Not after guys who like to prank people. You'll change nothing by attacking gizmodo.
I think what he is trying to say here is that we're all pissed at Gizmodo for possibly lending legitimacy to big media claims that online-only or blogger sites aren't real journalists, but rather fan sites. I'm not saying that everyone will think this, but the majority of the less-involved public could be swayed.

I think everybody should be able to see how many positives and negatives specific posters have given. e.g. I gave a few +1s today and no -1s so somewhere on my profile or under my username it should say 3 +1s given, 0 -1s given or something like that.

Same with me. its all about location. I have AT&T (iPhone) and Verizon (BB Storm), both drop calls, where i have coverage on one, i dont on the other and vice versa. So to say one has better coverage or not, its hard to point in the right direction. Really... As long as i can make a call im good, I had perfect coverage 2 days ago on the Storm and the network wasnt working, while my iPhone had 1 bar on 3G and no issues.
But its a cool commerical, I like how they are only talking about 3G coverage not over all service coverage, kind of makes Verizon look better. Then again...who is struggling for not having the iPhone?

yeah, but there is a link in your itunes software (client) which has "Music Store" - u know.. down the left side where your playlists are..
Wouldn't they need to change that to a generic "Store" or something..
They'll release iTunes 7.0 with "iTunes Store" in it's place and it will all come back online after the event.

Well back in December 2008 people were telling me that AT&T and Verizon both dropped calls and had problems and whatnot so it's really all the same.
Since then my AT&T service has gotten 4 times worse.
Are you telling me that Verizon got 4 times worse over the last year too?? This is the first I've heard of that.
FWIW, ATT service has gotten 4 times better for me (ok, maybe not 4 times, but at least 2 times. new 3G tower right by my house :D). If ATT sucks so bad for you, go to VZW.
