It should not. Go to the any INS office after you arrange for an appointment on line and ask tehm to replace your I-94 and to write the correct name.
Your case has been approved and tehre is nothing to do other than the above. My son been thru teh same process and when he applied for the visa abroad nobody asked him him at all about the error.

But I noticed that the attorney has done a typo in my middle name. she added 1 extra letter in the middle. can anyone please let me know if this would create any problem for me getting the H1B transfer approval and what is the way to correct it? Since I have already left my old job, I am kind of worried. Please reply back if anyone has come accross or aware of such case.

They will be able to provide you an emergency AP. This has happened in the past. If you can prove the emergency, you can get AP in a few hours.

I recently sponsored for my uncle and his wife and had no problems. Just send the sponsor docs with I-134, letter to consulate etc. Uncle had to provide info on his ties back in India.
My last name was not same as uncle's ( guess that is what your doubt is) and that was not an issue at all.

I think this is due to bi-specilization program USCIS started lately. H1's are processed at CSC & VSC just like I-140's processed at TSC & NSC.
So your application would have gone to VSC when they share the applications for processing, though you belong to CSC.
I believe my resoning is correct!

I have a letter from HR and saying the last day at my previous company was '5/15'. very boring!!!!
I will fell more comfortable if the experience letter mentions the last day as 5/17/2009. Otherwise I will simply mention it as April 2009. This way the continuous employment criteria will be met.

Is it true that my spouse (currently on H4) with pending AOS if outside US when my (principal applicant) approval comes, will not be able to use H4. Will her H4 get invalidated the moment i become a permanent resident. What happens if she boards a plane and reaches US to find that her H4 is not valid ?

no you don't have to worry. however when you travel and come back in, it is needed. i believe it might be needed when you try to apply for a visa(extension/change of status etc) in US.

i know what you're talking about - this obsession w/pre-adjudication is ridiculous!i for one support dismantling the current vb based 485 filing lottery system that utterly makes no sense whatsover! let people file 485 as and when 140 is approved and get rid of this cynical vb based filing -
