Again it seems society differs between the US and many other places. I could legally drink in restaurants with my parents and I think it's legal to drink from 16years when you're having a meal with at least one person over 18years at the discretion of the restaurant although most won't serve to protect their own license.
In the US, we seem to be really uptight about stuff.
Our sex-ed is highly abstinence-based, IF YOU HAVE IT. (I'm a senior, and I've only had the talk in fifth grade "your body is changing" That was the closest thing I ever got to sex ed.. and it wasn't really. YEEHAW TEXAS!!)

When I was in washington state, my dad went into a bar to grab a smoke and a drink (OK, it sounds like abandonment, but it wasn't :rolleyes: I just live with his vices.. *sigh*) they wouldn't even LET ME IN. I told the woman several times "I don't want to drink or smoke, and I probably won't once I hit the age at which I legally can"
So, she had to ESCORT ME TO MY FATHER. Because "OMG!1!! (at the time) ~14 YEAR OLD AROUND BOOZE!11! SHE'LL GET DRUNK IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE EVERYONE LOVES 2 DRINK!"
Argh.

Just whilst my Mac's in for repair, I'm having to use a PC. Trying to replicate the experience though, and I have to say that GNOME Do is a fantastic piece of software, far superior to Spotlight or even Quiksilver.

Not once in the description does it say that is the picture you are getting. eBay allows the use of stock photos (which in most cases look nothing like what is actually being sold) for sellers to describe their item, obviously you are too remedial to realize that obvious fact as well. I have done this multiple times, all of which ended in success. eBay auctions are legally binding contracts with the description as the stipulations. I suggest you take a basic course in law or political philosophy and maybe you won't sound like such a jackass when you get proved wrong.
So one more question for you, if you are so sure I will lose, why don't you just buy it to prove a point to me? Don't you want me to lose money shipping it to you to make me learn a lesson? Don't you want to be able to leave negative feedback on my account at no cost to you (since you're sure you will get a refund and eBay will side with you)? Seems like a pretty good opportunity for you chap. Good luck. :)

With your beliefs, they probably weren't man haters, just a you hater. Maybe I surround myself with rare lesbians, but I haven't met one yet that hated men. Some of my best friends are men. ;)

WRONG! FCP is definitely not the industry standard. It gained a lot of traction in market share from Avid but has since regressed its gains over the last several years.I agree even though I loathe Avid and its Technical support :P
Were stuck with Avid and we do what we can without their support.
We also use FCP but presently at a lower stage in the production pipeline.
However, our RED One delivery is trickling in (worse delivery ever) and now in the process of testing a the Red Rocket in a Mac Pro loaded with FCP3.
Hope it all goes well.

I have a new 27" imac running Elgato EyeTV hybrid and have connected the wii through the composite video input. The problem I am having is that there is a significant time lag (delay) with the wii remotes so that you cannot play games like tennis that require precise timing. You hear the sound on the remote but the action does not happen on the screen immediately. Anyone else got this problem or an idea on how to fix it?

This easily accessed location data on your phone was already widely known and used by police agencies since last year according to several articles, so you can just imagine what it is like for someone in a police state to have all their locations for the past year easily accessed when they are arrested.

2. In a police state, it doesn't matter what information is on your phone. It doesn't matter where you have been, what matters is where they want you to have been. If they decide that you met person X at time Y at place Z to discuss overthrowing the government, it doesn't make any difference whether you have no iPhone, or an iPhone that shows you were there, or an iPhone that shows you were not there.

No problem :) Not sure if the Michael Jackson one will look the greatest considering that the music video that the shot was taken from was filmed in the late 80s but it should still look fine.

Where do you see this? Every ebay auction I see for dotmac ends up being at least $75 or more with $5 shipping at least.
